Ranger and I have been noticing a lot of people on various sites looking for 3 gun shoots. We talked about it some this morning and decided to have one in September. I will be off the weekend of the 13th and I will try to come up with some good stages. Mike has one stand made for the new ar500 steel he got. We will have all the stands made before this 3 gun. This will be the same style 3 gun as our last one but with more distance for the rifle lovers. Hope to see you there!

Awesome!
I look forward to seeing some more move and shoot, that last stage at the June match was a lot of fun. One of the ideas I had was why not stagger the stages so some of the bays are used twice?
I.E., if you have five bays, bay one and two could be a stage, bay two and three could be a stage, bay three four and five could be a stage. Or whatever.
Obviously there are safety considerations, what with it being downhill running and all.

Ya I think we will be passing on that for now. We make take a couple bays and combine but there will be some running and gunning.

I spoke with a gentleman from Brownell this morning. He said that they would be happy to donate some items for the prize table! Prizes will be drawn for. I will try to get a list of all prizes put up at least a week before the shoot.

Phooey, I better get around to sighting in a rifle, The one I used last time is not making a return trip if I get a little time to fiddle on another one. I have to admit I have a good wife when she gives me a new AR for Christmas.

Round count will be as follows. Pistol - 50 Shotgun - 25 Rifle - 30
As always this is the minimum you will need, feel free to bring extra in case you miss. We should have 9 targets or so at 100 yards and beyond for rifle. We will not be using the bottom bays due to to all the rain we have had and all the rain forecasted for this week.

Maximum rounds for the shotgun at the start signal? Did I limit myself to 9 or 8 last time?
ETA: I think 8 makes the most sense, your common home defense shotgun should have an 18" barrel and 7+1 capacity, IMO.

Great ? James. As we are not doing different divisions and classes this year I say load up. There may be one stage where I limit to 4 at the start just to make everyone have a reload. Most stages will be load as much as you can. We are waiting to see how this shoot turns out. Next year we may change some things, depends on what people want.
